Bindi Yoga Classes

At Bindi Yoga, we offer students a variety of classes to fit your yoga goals and ambitions; as well as a way to challenge the body with several different techniques and yoga practices. Join us in building our yoga community with Hot Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Vinyasa, or any of our classes listed below! We look forward to meeting you and helping you obtain your goals!

Heated Classes:

Hot Yoga- Our hot yoga classes are the most popular classes at Bindi Yoga! Simply put, hot yoga is yoga postures performed in a heated room. These classes are primarily hatha based, but our instructors like to add a flowing element to classes which help build creativity and body awareness. Each class and each teacher teaches differently to bring variety as well as variations and modifications to each class. The temperature and humidity may vary depending on class time and number of students, but we try and make the atmosphere the same for each class. We keep our heated room to around 105 degrees (Hot Power Vinyasa classes range from 95-100 degrees). We are aware that humidity can cause serious overheating and over exhaustion, therefore we opt for a dryer heat by excluding a humidifier which many hot yoga studios use.

Hot Power Vinyasa- A flowing yoga class that incorporates strength, flexibility and stamina! This class will leave you tired yet rejuvenated throughout the entire body. In this class, count on building long lean muscles, finding your balance as you move from one poster to the next and building coordination. Room temperature will be held around 95 degrees, but you will sweat just as much as you do in a hot yoga class! This class ranges from 60-75 minutes long. Please make sure to check out schedule for the length of class time. We recommend taking at least a few hatha based classes first before taking on a power class.

Rise and Shine Hot Yoga- This is your get up and go class to jump start your day! There is nothing better than starting your day with a yoga class focused on strengthening and stretching the entire body! This class is held in a room set to 105 degrees to help deepen your stretch, detox the body, and leave you feeling clean from within.

Please keep in mind that if you are unable to come to your scheduled class, you must cancel your class at least 2 hours ahead of time or there may be a penalty on your account.

Restorative/Yin Yoga (NEW)- Restorative Yoga is a therapeutic style of yoga which utilizes props to make it easier for the body to get into certain poses, and thus, surrender to the pose. Practicing poses using props provides a completely supportive environment for total relaxation. The more your body is supported in the poses the deeper the sense of relaxation. Relaxation is a state in which there is no movement, no effort, and the brain is quiet. Typically, Restorative poses are sustained for ten minutes or for as long as you are comfortable. This deep relaxation will help you feel healed and nurtured from within.

Yin Yoga- We like to call this "Yummy Yoga"! This class is a great way to unwind and relax, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and stress free. Classes are held in a warm room (not hot) where you will be guided into asanas/postures sometimes using props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks, and straps. Asanas are held for several minutes allowing deep connective tissues to undergo static stresses to be remodeled. You will be giving your body and mind time to relax for the rest of the day.

MFR Yin Yoga (NEW!)- MFR: Myofascial Release + Yin = slow-paced class with poses that are held for longer periods of time. Just like Yin Yoga, we also call this “yummy yoga”. Bolsters, blocks and other equipment are supplied for you. With the use of tennis balls and other props, we can use our regular Yin practice with myofascial release techniques. Get your connective tissue (fascia) to release tension and gain a great stretch!

Gentle Yoga- What a great way to end a busy day! Class will be focused on pranayama (breath) and seated postures. Gentle yoga classes are typically appropriate for those who want a softer, slower paced and relaxing practice. Unlike Yin, we will not be holding postures for long periods of time, but we will move at a slow moving pace. You will leave feeling very relaxed and stress free. Class is held in a warm room but we recommend bringing layers.

Yoga Sculpt- This class is for any yoga student ready for a new challenge! Yoga Sculpt will incorporate a flowing yoga practice with the use of weights which is designed to sculpt the muscles giving you definition. We will be incorporating a Vinyasa flow into class which will work your cardiovascular system as well as your circulatory system. Class is not in a hot room, but bring a towel and water because you will sweat! Mats and weights will be provided but you are more than welcome to bring your own. Due to the fast pace of this class, please have prior vinyasa knowledge before attending.
