Bindi Yoga Classes

At Bindi Yoga, we offer students a variety of classes to fit your yoga goals and ambitions; as well as a way to challenge the body with several different techniques and yoga practices. Join us in building our yoga community with Hot Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Vinyasa, or any of our classes listed below! We look forward to meeting you and helping you obtain your goals!

Heated Classes:

Hot Yoga- Our Hot Yoga classes are “Hatha” based with a flair of vinyasa. Hatha comprises of postures (asana), Breath work (pranayama) and meditation (dyana). The longer posture holds help to increase both strength and steadiness of the mind and body, and also find benefits out of each asana with proper alignment cues and hands on adjustments when needed. Our Hot Yoga classes are 105 degrees so please be well hydrated! The heat is designed to help increase muscular flexibility, sweat, and to help free your body from toxins. All levels welcome to these classes! Please bring a mat, towel, and plenty of water.

Hot Power Vinyasa- Meld movement and breath for an amazing mind-body practice. These faster-paced classes are perfect to create a strong, flexible and balanced body with fun and energetic music to keep up the energy throughout class! Room temperature is around 95 degrees, so be prepared to get your sweat on and detox the body! HPV classes are best suited for the yoga practitioner who has taken at least 3 Hot Yoga classes prior to their first Power class. Terminology and alignment from Hot Yoga classes is what will help build a strong but safe practice in HPV classes. Please bring your own mat, towel, and plenty of water!

Bindi 26: New to Bindi! This will be our version of the popular Bikram series with some slight changes to make it our own signature Bindi class! Students will be guided through a routine of 26 “Hatha” postures (asanas) that compliment each other.  Build confidence, stamina, strength, flexibility and focus with our Bindi 26 series of postures and end class in a blissful savasana. This is the perfect class for beginners as well as the advanced yoga practitioner. Classes are held in the hot room with a temperature set at 105 degrees. It is very important to be hydrated before these classes because you will sweat a lot! Please bring your mat, towel, and plenty of water.

Non-Heated Classes:

*Aerial Yoga Sessions* Enjoy flying in a hammock, swaying gently suspended from the ceiling, while loosening tight muscles in a beautiful way. Aerial yoga is one of the most fun and creative classes we offer at Bindi! Build strength, flexibility, balance, and metal focus and see the world upside down. Aerial Yoga contains many upside down postures to help decompression of the spine from everyday activities such as sitting at desks and driving long commutes to work. Athletes that are constantly moving and parents that are always on the go, really enjoy these classes for decompression and unlocking muscles that are hard to unlock in mat classes. Aerial classes are held in our non-heated room. Please wear a shirt that covers the arm pits and take out jewelry to prevent snagging the fabric. Mats and props are available for your use, or you can bring your own. All levels are welcome to Aerial classes! Due to our aerial fabric, our weight limit for classes is 250lbs.

Aerial Yoga (Level 1)-

*Gentle flow, Yin Yoga, Restorative/Yin Yoga, MFR Yin Yoga* Modern life is fast enough—your yoga doesn’t have to be. Deliberately mindful, measured movement can balance that frenzied energy. Go ahead and surrender to our soft, soothing, spirit-lifting sequences. Quiet your mind, relieve aches and soothe your soul in tranquil sessions that are designed to leave you refreshed. Classes are held in our non-heated room, but bring layers of clothing for your own comfort. Mats, bolsters, blankets, and other props are provided, or feel free to bring your own. These are great classes for those looking to start their yoga journey as they are in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. All levels of yoga practitioners are welcome!

Gentle Flow- New to Bindi! This is a great class for beginners to get their feet wet in a fluid moving class without the vigorous activity in a power vinyasa class. Learn proper technique, alignment and terminology of postures (asanas), while opening tight spaces in the body and toning the body in a very gentle way. Even seasoned yoga practitioners enjoy this class because it can fine tune their physical and mental practice on the mat.

Yin Yoga- We like to call this "Yummy Yoga"! This class is a great way to unwind and relax, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and stress free. Classes are held in a warm room (not hot) where you will be guided into asanas/postures sometimes using props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks, and straps. Asanas are held for several minutes allowing deep connective tissues to undergo static stresses to be remodeled. You will be giving your body and mind time to relax for the rest of the day.

Restorative/Yin Yoga- Restorative Yoga is a therapeutic style of yoga which utilizes props to make it easier for the body to get into certain poses, and thus, surrender to the pose. Practicing poses using props provides a completely supportive environment for total relaxation. The more your body is supported in the poses the deeper the sense of relaxation. Relaxation is a state in which there is no movement, no effort, and the brain is quiet. Typically, Restorative poses are sustained for ten minutes or for as long as you are comfortable. This deep relaxation will help you feel healed and nurtured from within.

MFR Yin Yoga- MFR: Myofascial Release + Yin = slow-paced class with poses that are held for longer periods of time. Just like Yin Yoga, we also call this “yummy yoga”. Bolsters, blocks and other equipment are supplied for you. With the use of tennis balls and other props, we can use our regular Yin practice with myofascial release techniques. Get your connective tissue (fascia) to release tension and gain a great stretch!

Kundalini- New to Bindi! Awaken the body with the physical, mindful and mental practice of Kundalini, often known as “yoga of awareness”.  Through chanting, meditation, pranayama (breath work), and yoga asana (body postures), you will clear blockages, heal, relieve stress, create self-love and awareness for your mind, body and soul.  This practice appeals to people who want a yoga method that is powerful, meditative, relaxing, while incorporating all of the traditional tools of a yoga practitioner to gain more self-awareness and self-care to her/his mind, body and, soul.  Classes are held in our non-heated room. Mats and props are available for you to use, or you can bring your own.

Yoga Sculpt- Enhance your yoga practice with flowing vinyasa sequences that blend principles of yoga and weight training, with fun, loud and upbeat music! Our Sculpt classes will aim to build muscle tone, strength and endurance. Classes are held in our non-heated yoga room, but warning…you will sweat! Mats, props and weights are provided, but feel free to bring your own. Classes are perfect for the yoga practitioner that has a vinyasa foundation already, as this class is very fast paced. However, anyone is more then welcome to attend class and skip any and all vinyasa elements they like.
